belly

For those of you who have been asking to see the belly, here it is! It gets bigger every day. She's very active too. Madden loves to talk to and sing to his baby sister. He also thinks it funny to jump on Mommy's belly. He's just toughening her up for what is to come. We took these pictures on our walk last night. My neighbor made Madden the little bag that he is carrying around his next. He uses it to collect rocks when we take walks. It's a very important job that he takes very seriously.

I just love this picture of Matt and Madden. Madden absolutely adores his Daddy and I love it. He wants to be just like him. He keeps telling me that he's bigger like Daddy now. He told me the other day that when he gets more bigger like daddy, then he can drive a car. I wish he would decide to use the toilet like Daddy! We're still working on that one!

Here he is counting his rocks after our walk! Isn't he cute!

new beds!

I finally convinced Matt to switch the beds around so that I could start working on the baby's room. This is the crib set that I bought online for $20. For the whole set!!! I love it! It's even cuter in person. I can't wait to start painting and accessorizing. Can you tell I'm excited?!!

Madden finally got a real big boy bed. He hates it! He keeps asking for his old bed but I told him he's too big now. So far he's slept pretty good in his new bed. I'm hoping that he'll take a nap in it today. I'm still working on getting some new bedding for his room. I think I want to paint in here too.

This is how Madden feels about his new bed!

kiddos

A couple of weeks ago, I volunteered to watch 2 of my friends kids for a Friday night. I had a 5 year old, a 4 year old, 3 2 year olds, and a one year old. They were great! I had a hard time getting them all in one picture. I took these pictures after dinner while they were patiently waiting for Matt to set up the bouncer.

bouncy time

Here is Matt setting up the bouncer. The kids had a blast. We had the bouncer up all of Friday evening and all day Saturday. Madden was exhausted but it sure did keep him busy. Matt invited some friends over to watch the BYU vs. UCLA football game and this is how we kept the kids entertained. We had about 15 little kiddos jumping all day. Fun!

Understanding my 2.5 yr old....

....is not always an easy task. This is a conversation we had today!

Madden: I want one like Sbanana's. (my niece Savannah who lives in KC)
Me: You want what?
Madden: I want one like Sbanana's spider man thing.
Me: What does Savannah's spider man thing look like.
Madden: It's big like Sbanana's. I want to play with the Morgan team and Sbanana's spider man thing.
Me: Where is Savannah's spider man thing?
Madden: At the Morgan team's house?
Me: Of course. What is the spider man thing?
Madden: Then I can play with Caleb and Ben and JJ and Sam and Riah (Mariah, he talks about her all the time)
Me: I give up!

I still have no clue what he wanted. Savannah, do you have any idea what he's talking about?

I finally bought some pink!

I knew that I was having a girl for a month before I finally bought some pink! Now, I'm addicted. I also bought a new crib set, $20 on Wal-Mart.com. We're hoping to switch out the beds this week so I'll get the crib set up and take some pictures of the crib set. Now I just have to convince Matt to paint her room PINK!

for Saige and JJ

Matt recently downloaded some pictures from his old cell phone and I discovered some pictures that I've never seen before. This is from our trip to Kansas City in April/May when I was watching the Morgan kids. Matt and John wanted to have a guys night at the Royals game and I told them they had to at least take one of the 6 kids. So JJ and Saige got to go. They had a blast! They didn't get home until after 11 pm on a school night (oops!) but I don't think they minded. They got to eat junk food and hang out with their dad and uncle! My favorite part is JJ's peace sign!

big brother!

A few days ago, Madden had been reading books in his room for a while when he excitedly came out of his room to tell me that he had found baby sister. It was very cute! He sang songs to the picture, told her that he would share his toys with her, and talked about how cute she is. It was very sweet to hear him talk about her. I just hope he is actually nice to her when she arrives. We've been practicing with my friend's new baby and so far, he's been pretty gentle.

Madden slid down the hill behind or house. He had fun but it wasn't fun scrubbing the grass stains out of his pants.

Madden played Legos everyday while Grandma and Papa were here. He was a very good boy!

Grandma bought Madden some potty prizes. Here they are playing with his new pirate and cannon. Thanks Grandma, he loves the cannon!

Does this game look familiar to anyone?

more from our visit with Gma and Papa!

Papa went fishing.... a lot! Matt joined him for 2 of his fishing trips. Here's a picture of one of Papa's catches!

We bought a box of peaches. Yum! They are sooooooo good. Mom and I ate one in the parking lot just after we bought them. We couldn't wait until we got home. They smelled too good!

We made a peach cobbler. I had it for lunch today! So delicious!

And...we made peach jam. I'm in the process of making rolls to eat with my jam. Thanks for all your help Mom!

Hey Family, are you wondering what we've been up to!

On Monday, we went to Lake Coeur d'Alene and walked the Pier. We watched a parasailer, sailboats, and jetskiers. It was beautiful, but I forgot to take pictures. Then we ate lunch at a restaurant that had a beautiful view of the water. While we ate, we watched a couple of airplanes land on the water. And we ate ice cream! Yum. This is the only picture I took. Madden loves to chase birds so he and Matt attacked a few seagulls.
Then Mom has been busy with projects. She fixed my kitchen curtains, made a mattress cover for my new tall bed, and made these beautiful new curtains for my bedroom!
Today we are going to start reupholstering my kitchen chairs. They came with white fabric on them. Who puts white fabric on kitchen chairs? Crazy! As you can tell from the picture, they are really stained and gross now. I'll post the after pictures soon!

Also, Dad went fishing on the Spokane River about 25 minutes from our house and caught 15 fish in 4 hours! That's a lot of fish! I think he and Mat are going to try to do some more fishing this afternoon. When he returned from fishing, Madden asked him if he caught the big red gooey fish! For those of you who have memorized all of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse episodes, you know what that is! More pictures to come!
