new hair

I had my hair chopped off on Monday. What do you think? This is the shortest I have ever cut my hair. So far, I like it. I told her that I wasnted something cute and bold. It is super easy to style and I use half as much shampoo. I'm not sure if I'll keep it short but it sure is fun now.

Easter Mornig and Afternoon

Doesn't Madden look so studly in his Easter outfit? He just looks so cute in a tie. It's hard to get him to hold still to put it on so we hardly ever do it. Our Easter bunny came after church today because we were running late this morning. He was very excited to have some new toys to play outside with. He's been trying to open the sliding door all afternoon so that he can go play in the dirt but it's cold and rainy. Hopefully we'll have some sunshine tomorrow and he can enjoy his new toys.

Easter Egg Hunt

Each year the Raabs get together for a big family Easter Egg hunt. Madden had a blast. There were eggs everywhere, he wasn't sure which direction to run. He had to stop and open every egg that he picked up before he could move on. He got pretty frustrated when he couldn't open the hard boiled eggs.

Watching Basketball with Daddy-o!

Do you all remember when there was a toy inside every cereal box? It may have only been a sticker or a press-on tattoo but there was always some kind of toy. Nowadays, it seems like you have to send in 17 upc labels, proof of purchase, and your first born to get the cereal box toy. Well today we open up a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and ..... there was a car. I could hardly believe it. No strings attached! Madden was totally thrilled. He keeps telling me that Santa brought it for his Merry Christmas, even though he watched us pull it out of the cereal box.

Also, will the snow ever end? We had like 3 weeks of decent weather, a little rainy but not bad. The last 2 mornings I have woken up to snow. I'm sick of it! I need spring. My pale skin needs the sunshine.

A few mintues ago, Madden was looking at my family picture. He came over to me and said, "I play with Papa Bob and Caleb another day. He really does remember all of my family. I love it!

We went to the mall the other. As we were window shopping in Sears, Madden yells " I see Mater!" Sure enough, they had Mater slippers. Luckily they were on clearence but he refused to leave without them. He walks around the house in them saying, "Mater is vroom-ing. Go Mater Go!"

I made breaksticks last week and Madden was just begging to knead the dough with me. So I let him! He played with the dough in his high chair for over an hour. He even ate some. yuck. He was very sad when I threw it away so we made real playdough the next day.
