Happy 30th birthday to me!!

Blazin's birth story

I finally decided that it was time to write the birth story. Not necessarily for all of you out there but for me.

 The contractions started at 5 am on November 27. They weren't really regular and not too intense. I took a bath and then walked around a bit to see if they picked up. Not much change so I called the doctor's office and he told me to come in for a non-stress test and to check to see if I was dilated. We got the kids off to school and made our way to the doctor's office. The contractions were still irregular but I was about 4 cm. With my track record of speedy deliveries, he told me to stay close but the contractions weren't close enough to check into the hospital. So we went to Denny's to grab some breakfast because I was starving. After breakfast, we checked into the hospital around 10:30. The contractions were still fairly irregular and I had not progressed much from 4 cm. I walked around and sat on a birthing ball. The doctor checked me around 1pm and I was maybe a 5 but the baby still needed to drop. He asked what I wanted to do and I told him to break my water and my labor would pick up. So we did, and labor picked up! The contractions got worse but the end was in sight. I pushed for about 20 minutes and there he was, born at 2:49 pm! Blazin was 6 pounds 14 ounces and so beautiful! Grandma Cheryl brought Madden and Halle to see us after school. We were also visited by Grandpa Earnie, Abby, Amy, Toria, Carson, Bransen, Shauna, Maggie and Ryan.

The nurse that stayed with me throughout my labor is actually a friend of mine. She is also the nurse that delivered Halle 4 years ago when the doctor couldn't get there fast enough. It's nice to have a familiar face there to help you through the process!

This kid cracks me up. Every time I see him playing wii, he is in some crazy position. He can't just sit and play like a normal kid. He has to jump, stand, and move.

Halle wasn't the biggest fan at first but by then end she was blowing kisses to Santa!

HALLE turns 3!

Our sweet Halle-bear turned 3! She had a small birthday party at home with Madden, her cousin Tehanie, and friends Peyton and Callie. She had so much fun opening presents and licking frosting off of the cupcakes!

She had a lot of help opening her presents too!

She was a bit timid about he candles on the cake so daddy helped her.

Our sweet princess Halle has blessed our lives in so many ways. Here are a few things about her:
*She loves pink and purple
*She loves Princesses, Dora, ponies, babies and barbies
*She loves to dance
*She can spell her name
*She loves to play with Madden
*She is a moody eater, she might like something one day and then turn her nose up at it the next day
*She lives vicariously through her babies...example...she tell me that her babies like fruit snacks or her babies like to watch Dora.
*She loves to sing
*She will play quietly in her room all afternoon while Madden is at school
*She is still working on mastering the toilet

Disney On Ice!

Grandma Cheryl and Grandpa Earnie took all of th Grandkids to Disney on ice! This was Halle's first year! They had tons of fun. It was a Toy Story which both of my kids love. Halle especially loved all of the dancing Barbies! Madden loved the candy in his goodie bag.

Special Guests!

We had some special visitors drive through Spokane in November. Matt and Jared lived in the same dorm Freshman year at BYU and in the same apartment Sophomore year. They both met their wives Sophomore year in their ward. Anywho, they were driving through Spokane on their way to visit family during Thanksgiving and we got to spend some time with them and their kiddos. Madden and Halle had a blast with Jacob and Claire. And we all had fun playing with their babies, Kate and Liam.
